Terms of service

Version 1.0 · Last updated 22 August 2026 · ClearPath AI Ltd · Company number 17411433

1. These terms

These terms govern your use of this website and any trial, pilot or evaluation of ClearPath Legal AI. Where your firm has signed a separate written agreement with ClearPath AI Ltd, that agreement governs the supply of the platform and takes precedence over these terms to the extent of any conflict.

2. What the platform is, and is not

ClearPath Legal AI is software. It is not a law firm, it does not provide legal advice or legal services, and it is not a substitute for the professional judgement of a qualified conveyancer. The regulated firm using the platform remains solely responsible for the legal work carried out on its matters, for supervision of that work, and for compliance with its own regulatory obligations under the SRA Standards and Regulations or the CLC Code of Conduct.

Outputs are generated by AI and must be reviewed before they are relied on or sent. Steps that carry legal weight — including exchange, completion and the release of client money — require human approval and are not executed automatically.

3. Your responsibilities

4. Onboarding commitments

Where we publish standard onboarding commitments — no setup fee, go-live within 14 days of contract, and a money-back position if the platform is not live within 30 days — those commitments apply to standard onboarding on a supported case management system, and are conditional on the firm providing timely access to its systems, data, nominated users and sign-offs. They do not apply where go-live is delayed by matters outside our control, by third-party integration availability, or by a request for bespoke configuration. The refund is limited to platform subscription fees paid for the affected period.

5. Fees

Fees are set out in your order form. Published prices are exclusive of VAT and may change on renewal with reasonable notice. Per-transaction fees are charged on matters opened in the platform.

6. Intellectual property

ClearPath AI Ltd owns the platform, its software, models, prompts, agent definitions and documentation. Your firm owns its matter data and the outputs generated on its matters. ClearPath, ClearPath Legal AI and ClearPathOS are trade marks of ClearPath AI Ltd.

7. Availability and support

We aim for high availability and publish service levels in the order form. We may carry out planned maintenance with notice. This website is provided on an "as is" basis.

8. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. Subject to that, we are not liable for loss of profit, loss of business, loss of goodwill or indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability is capped at the fees paid in the 12 months before the claim. Figures published on this website, including modelled outcomes, savings and timings, are illustrative and are not warranties, representations or guarantees of result.

9. Termination

Either party may terminate for material breach not remedied within 30 days of written notice. On termination we will return or delete your data in line with the data processing agreement.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
